The encounter could be from either situation depending on where you are in your cycle. You usually don't have any kind of symptoms within the first week of pregnancy. You can either discover if your pregnant through a pregnancy test, which you can purchase over the counter at any drug store for less than 8 or 9 dollars, or you can wait till you miss your first period.

Why is it that ppl on this site always have some smart comment and can't just answer the damn question? I don't get it. Some ppl did actually answer the question, so pls don't take offense but most of you started talking about stds, etc. First of all, who is to say that she has had multiple partners?, who is to say that she is not trying to become pregnant? who is to say she is not married (in which would mean she is in a monogamous relationship and wouldn't use condoms)? Gosh, I don't get why ppl always assume the worst of other people. It is 2007 we as people need to stop being so negative.
In response to your question, I believe the answer is yes. The reason I say so is bc every woman is different. Some women immediately have sickness when they get pregnant, so you never know. But if you are ttc then it may just be in your head bc you want to be preg so bad.
Everyone have a good weekend!

It all depends on the hormone levels in your body. yes, it's possible but not as likely. I began having symptoms at 2 weeks pregnant, severe breast tenderness being the primary symptom that couldn't be "explained away". Paternity can't be established until the baby is born unfortunately. Be careful girl, take care of yourself!
Oh, and chic above me, Heather, TAKE OFF MY HAT! LOL!

an encounter? do you mean unprotected sex? not likely. are you trying to get pregnant by some guy you aren't in a relationship with? good job. take a pregnancy test, and give that poor child up for adoption to someone who wants a baby.

If you keep track of your cycles, women usually ovulate and are able to get pregnant once a month almost exactly between periods. See your doctor, if you are pregnant, they can usually determine time of conception.
Please be more careful. Casual sex with multiple partners is dangerous! And any child you have will do better if you are in a secure relationship with his or her father.

Usually you will not feel pregnant for several weeks, sometimes longer. If you are wondering exactly when you got pregnant your doctor can tell you with an ultrasound.

It is possible to feel the symptoms about a week from conception. That is when my morning sickness began.

I think it would take three to four weeks. I would go to the doctors and have a test done.

No... find out if you are actually pregnant before guessing at paternity, get to your 6w ultrasound and they will confirm your dates.
