With a Bachelor's Degree?

What jobs are available in the field of psychology for those with a Bachelor's? I'll be working toward a Master's but in the meantime I'll need a job to cover the cost of education and support my family.

Guidance and counselling, Social service, teaching, etc. Try monster.com, or careerbuilder.com, there's really a lot out there.

You can get any kind of job. These days a degree is more proof that you can stick at something for a long period of time and do it at a good standard than anything else. In psychology you are limited as most people want a masters. You could work as psychiatrists or as a psychologist, speak with a rep from a local hospital as they may be able to offer you something.

It depends if you want a job in your field or not, but at this point in time you are unluckly to find anything good for you.

I am in the same boat. Unfortunately, the answer is nothing. You need a Master's degree before you can really do anything. With a Master's you can do therapy under the supervision on a PhD.

..Hm-mm; Okay the best practice for starting out in psychology would be in a major public school system like Arlington Public schools here in Virgina. the need is growing as more schools are recognizing violence prevention starts with good psychology programs.

You will most likely have to look for work in a social work field. Think about going to law school.

you can go to the library and be a para librarian

you could work in a hosiptal, in different areas.

an older friend from school is still in and getting a doctorate.
