John Lowe when he won the BDO world championship in 1993. He was 47 years old at the time.

Phil Taylor is 47 this year so I have a feeling that record will be broken soon, as he has deffinately got more world titles in him.

John Lowe never won the Embassy championships in 1993 as he was playing in the PDC that year.

The oldest player to win the BDO World title is I think Martin Adams as he just won the Title.

Martin Adams he was 50 and he won it an hour or so ago.
