Things would happen in stages. The first thing to go would be the west coast. Then tidal waves on the east. Large earthquakes would shake the land but it would stick together for a few hundred million years.

After that - I haven' t a clue - man has to adapt - move on. The entire globe will change - I wonder what it will look like!

All the terrorists will definitely die. I can't think how anyone will ever come up with anything more terrifying than a series of the worst earthquakes the world has ever seen. Besides which, I think, most terrorists will be too busy wetting their pants to think of how to terrify other people. And, anyway, I think the terrorists would get really confused if, for instance, France became part of Brazil and Alaska got attached to Kenya and so forth.

No. Even the largest waves affect only coastlines unless you have a large low lying area like Galveston or New Orleans. The states will stay together.
