Today an old lady stacked it on the highstreet and I couldnt help but laugh is this a natural response or am I just a sad person. I also laugh at thoses shows when people hurt themselves usually because they are stupid. Is there a difference.

Depends on what kinds of misfortunes. If someone's house burnt down, I wouldn't laugh at all. But in the event when someone trips, or falls, I think that everyone laughs. How can you not? Of course, if they get hurt bad, you shouldn't laugh, but when they just fall, and you know that they're ok, it's usually hysterical. I think it might just be some sort of a reaction.

Sometimes, one cannot help themselves. Laughter is part voluntary, part involuntary response. If we witness an event where someone gets hurt bcuz they were doing something stupid, most of us would probably laugh. That would be an involuntary laugh.
One more thing: Our sense of humor is determined by our personal beliefs, so a joke about black people (which i wouldn't find funny) is funny to some and not others

I do it...I don't mean to be nasty, I just can't help it. I also laugh at myself too when I trip/fall etc...
Sometimes, I think it comes from nerves. Sometimes, yes , it is because someone has been really stupid!
Don't beat yourself up over it - as long as if someone needs your help, you can at least do your bit!

no not at all. if you believe there are only a certain amount of bad things that can happen at any one time in the world and they are happening to someone else, then they're not happening to you. laugh away.

all humour is base on the misfortune of others , try and think of any joke that isn't,but its impolite to do it in public,a least wait till they cant see you!lol
