to have just a counter that doesnt link to another site you have to run a script on your server. do you have access to the server or are you using a free host. if you do then just google it and you can find a script. www.freescripts.com. thats why most people use the free counters that are hosted by someone else . they dont have server access and/or dont know any programming language.
