Apparently, when I was younger...I talked to this ghost that haunted my uncle's house. She was known by my sister as "The Cookie Monster" and to me as "That Girl". From the stories I've been told, I apparently could hear her and see her, and when asked what she looked like (happy, sad) I replied that she actually looked mad. Also, she told me to be careful on the stairs.

Any opinons on this?

Since people asked:

I know this: my uncle DOES know that a girl died in the house, a little girl, I believe. She would turn the radio on when he was in the shower, and at parties, people would ask my uncle who the girl in the funny clothes was. Oh, also people sometimes reported someone peeking out from the upstairs room (if i'm corect, this upstairs room was the place I talked about her being mad, not sure though) and ask if anyone was coming down, but no one esle was in the house.

Hope that helps!

Most people who believe in things outside the normal--ghosts, faeries, etc--strongly believe that children have an easier time seeing them, because children haven't existed as long in a world that denies their existence. *I* think there probably is a ghost in your uncle's house and I think she probably hurt herself on the stairs. Since she's angry, I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone else's fault--maybe she was pushed, or maybe she was just one of those strict housekeeper types and one of the kids left a toy on the stairs :-)

U r lucky having this experience & remembering it now, children r more susceptable & open to seeing/hearing spirits. Definitely sounds like a female spirit attached to the house. Ur sister rationalised the spirtit in her child mind by likining it to something she could relate to the cookie monster.
Sounds like the spirit was frustrated at trying to convey messages such as the warning on the stairs.

My opinion is find out why she was known as the cookie monster by your sister and why she looks mad.

It is believed that children are more sensitive to ghosts and spirits because they have not been told any different. They basically have not had their filter clogged with what can or can't be.
