Interesting idea, if only Carbonite existed. I figure these religious fanatics would figure out some holy nonsense that would allow them to continue to kill their youth for phony promises of eternal afterlife.

Iraq was a non-threat (although the policies of BushCo. have made it a real one; they unleashed chaos over there that could engulf the whole region), and had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.... you know that, don't you?
the neocons who have been pulling Bush's strings from the get-go were itching to put bases in Iraq (from which to attack Iran, Syria and others, to try and claim oil resources, and to support certain warhawks in Israel)... they wanted it so bad, they made 9/11 happen.... yes airplanes were flown into those buildings, but is that what made them fall straight down at freefall speed, all of the steel disintegrating and concrete being blown into dust in mid-air? only a controlled demolition can make that happen to a modern steel skyscraper. the exact same thing happened to the 57-story WTC7 building that day, a building which was not hit by any plane.
terrorists did indeed kill Americans on 9/11, but these terrorist had ACCESS, to the WTC building interiors (weeks or months before the event), to high tech thermite explosives, to standard NORAD operating procedures (not followed on 9/11, and Cheney had taken control of NORAD from generals just a few months before).
these same terrorists then lied and manipulated the American people and Congress to wage a completely unrelated and unnecessary war, killing up to 600,000 more innocent civilians in a small country far away (which, I repeat, was not remotely involved in 9/11)
i ask you: what can be done about THOSE terrorists???

There is a huge difference between science fiction movies and reality. The reality of the terrorists death is that they will NOT be martyrs and will not get ANY virgins as they fantasize about. When they die, they will be in hell for eternity because they are nothing but cold-blooded killers and have no regard for human life, including their own. If that science fiction method were to become reality, do you realize how much carbonite it would take to 'hold' all those terrorists? Besides, why would we want to put those evil killers in carbonite? What's the point? For science to study their brains to in an attempt to find out why they murder people and blow up buildings? Gimme a break.

You're on a roll. Maybe there could be a giant freezer and we just added them one by one. It would be cheaper than a long trial and there would not be a cost in feeding anyone. At some point in history, someone could dissect the brains to see how they differ from the normal ones.

You realise freezing some in carbonite isn't actually a factual scientific method.

Well first you'd have to catch them. then subject them to an expensive process. How much will this cost?

i like it. i also think that if we dressed up a few thousand lhasa apsos like ewoks, we could march them all around bagdad and strike fear in the insurgents.

Freezing somebody in carbonate is a fictional event and can't really be done. So,I really don't think it would work.
