There is no war for democracy neither any war on terror in Iraq: it's a war for petrol and domination of the Middle-East.
There has never been any will to spread democracy anywhere in the world. It was just a new excuse used when everyone realised there were probably no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq.
"War on terror" is a nonsense. War, imperialism, oppression and exploitation generate terror (action/reaction principle).
Don't watch FoxNews! Don't let them brainwash you!
Also there is no real democracy in the U.S. Policies fit the needs of powerful people in the arm and tobacco industries as well as other lobbies.
Our health system and education is worse than in some developping countries!

The war in Iraq is not about democracy.
It's about George W(easel)'s own personal agenda.
As for spreading democracy, I would very much love a free peaceful world, where everyone has at least a not too horrible life.
That raises the question of imposing our values on others. I'm not sure we have the right to do that even if we feel it's for their own good.

..******^!!No!!******; It is not America,s responsibility to invade other countries in hopes of spreading democracy?? Wow!!..I mean there is usually a "Wall Street" reason behing the invasion; End results are always tragic. Example: In Iraq....some of the Iraqi police units that the US Army have trained have been known to torture civilians in a misguided effort to quash the insurgency. Food for thought: You beat a human person etc physically etc to make them accept change BUT IF THERE opinion is " Heck NO!!!!!!!!!!"....change WILL NOT COME ABOUT!!.. Would love to hear from other legimate Yahoo users about this opinion...I am probaly am wrong sooo I open to what you have to say

No. We did not invade Iraq for this reason either. Our invasion was for a reason that had no merit, so the reason to invade had to be changed once we invaded. I think this "spreading of democracy" was actually the 3rd excuse. It seems to have "taken".

I don't see how 'American Democracy' is any better than the Hitler Regime if you are forcing it on people. I don't think the US has a democracy of its own anymore.

No,but that was NOT why they invade Iraq.
Once they invaded, the plan was to make it a democracy instead.
