Brits can drink Yanks under the table becuase the Yanks have a higher drinking age in most states therefore have less tolerence at 21. But overall i think the Brits have much more of a drinking culture ie lunch hours also the Americans are just soft unless they have a gun in their hand. How can drink the most out of England, Scotalnd, Wales and Ireland would be a better question. Scots get my vote

I know that us British can drink the Americans under the table because I've seen it, when I was over there I went out drinking with some and my older brother drank more than them in the night.

Anyone can drink anybody under the table....just get down on the dirty floor....
As for your question, Americans only seem to drink beer or whatever its called out there...(it says so in all the films)....
Um, I think it depends on the person, but at the end of the day there is nothing to be proud of being a bigger drinker than others......its quality not quantity. There is one exception:

Up here in Yorkshire we could drink the rest of England under the table as well as the Americans, we have real ale and proper beer up this neck of the woods.

Depends if they are a hardened drinker for one thing... Some of the local alcoholics i've seen look like they could drink the world under the table... Having never seen an american alcoholic, I can't say...

In a drinking contest NOBODY wins If you drink to much alcohol you will get alcohol poisoning. You wont be under a table. You be 6 feet under the dirt.

oh the Brits could definitely drink the Americans under the table...generally speaking.
However, I know a few Americans who could give you a run for your money...or die trying.

I can drink one can of lager and I'm in a Police cell. Still, I do not speak for all Brits when i say this.
