my little sister is doing a project for hurricane katrina and you know how you get a bottle and shake it and it's like a hurricane how do i do that

you can buy a piece that connects two bottles together. Try lookin' somewhere like hobbylobby. It makes more of a whirlpool/tornado though

The two bottle trick produces a vortex which looks similar to a tornado. A tornado is not a hurricane and is nothing like a hurricane. You can't recreate an approximation of a hurricane in a bottle.

Some more additions to the 2 liter soda pop bottle idea. Use clear plastic bottles as opposed to green or brown ones. Also it helps to put some food coloring in the water to allow it to show up better.

well you pretty much just get a two liter empty bottle and fill it about 3/4 with water. Put the cap back on and swish it around in a circular motion
