well it all depends on what you mean by most successfull...if u mean who has the most silverwear the answer is abviously liverpool as people have said...
However...if u mean who has been the most successful and won the most games since the game began...the answer is Everton...Everton have accumulated 4223 points since the football league began (not the premiership...the actual league)
That's better than second-placed Liverpool (4192 points), Arsenal (4116), Aston Villa (3879) and fifth-placed Manchester United (3774), all of whom have played considerably fewer seasons in the top flight (not neccessarily fewer games though)
Newcastle, Manchester City, Sunderland, Tottenham and Chelsea make up the top 10.

Liverpool DEFINATELY... they've won the top division most often and won the european cup / champions league more often than any other team... also won teh carling (league) cup most often, and are amongst the top few in the FA cup...
so, i dont really think its much of an argument.
p.s.: i hate the word 'soccer'.

Id say Liverpool and i am a liverpool fan, anyway it was in fact the americans that made up the word soccer(for the guy at the top) and we call it football because you use your foot to kick a ball.
