I only have a bank account, where I can deposit and withdraw money at a cash point and also internet banking. I do not have a debit or credit card, and I'm currently ineligible for obtaining one. Does this mean I am unable to set up a Paypal account to buy online? I've tried e-mailing Paypal, but they haven't responded yet. *impatient* I obviously don't want to sign up with them before I'm 100% certain.

Thanks

Yes, PayPal works with just a bank account, no credit card required.

Before being able to transfer money, they will verify that you are the owner of the account by placing a couple of small deposits. You'll have to verify the amount of those deposits, so the fact that you have online banking speeds the process up.

Later, they'll take their small deposits back so don't think you can spend it.

Dont worry you just need a basic bank acount you do not need any form of credit although to be honest paypal is only good for making payments that would come directly from you account and via paypal to your seller.

Paypal is not too good to be used if you are the seller though.

Paypal are a great company. I dont think you'll need a card account as they just need the account details to add/remove money.

Paypal should get back to u, just give them a few working days as its now the weekend so you may have to wait

When you signup for eBay just give them the number of your bank account and tell them that is where money will come and go. As long as they have that they are OK.
