only toshiba if your looking for satellites, but i had one and didn't have a good experince with it. Like for example, the fan that releases heat is located in the bottom of the laptop, so when you place the laptop somewhere for example in the carpet, the heat won't go out, and it will just shut down. but other laptopb heater are by the side.

When you say a cheap satellite... Have you already decided that you're going to buy toshiba? Satellite is one of their models.
If you're not buying Toshiba, I'd look at Acer's offerings. They seem to give the best bang for the buck when it comes to the lower cost laptops. Do your research, though. Some have issues with heat.
