I don't know, but surely they realize what morons they look like. I mean, what's the point of having to hold your pants up while you're walking? Sheer stupidity.

This is a ghetto style that suburban white idiots, who can't come up with their own thing, ahve chosen to copy.
It became a ghetto style since baggy pants tend to fall down when the belt is taken away, which is what they do when you're arrested. So it is originally a jail style that ghetto kids inexplicably found "nifty".
And baggy pants were borrowed from Jamaica. Jamaican criminals wore baggy pants when everyone else wore formfitting so they could straqp an Uzi to their thigh and not be noticed. Jamaican immigrants brought the style to the ghetto, which copied it.

Just a fad. Used to be tight jeans and Leather jackets. Now pants to the knees and hoodies. It will change in a while to something new.

They want to look like rappers, or like they are "ghetto".
Its a stupid fashion trend that people think look cool, when it just makes them look like trash.
I personally wear my pants at my waist, and keep a belt on so it stays there, and harass the idiots that trip when their pants fall on their ankles.

my guess, is they need aeration maybe? Maybe they haven't changed underwear or showered for a while, so they need the air flow...
