He said that a monkey gave it to a guy in africa in 1980 and then that guy went to a bar and he gave it to a man flight attendant from canada and then the canada guy had many sex partners around the globe with gay guys and then kept on spreading it around until even Magic Johnson got it from a guy or a gal who got it from a gay guy. So did the gay people spread it all over the world thanks to a monkey and black guy and canada flight guy? My friend said that no woman can really give it to man unless they have open wounds each so that mean only gay guys get it or also drug needle that druggies use too. If gay people stopped spreading it will it go away and then no one will die like everyday?

YES IT ORIGINATED FROM THE MONKEYS:
And the rest of the story sucks big time.
Any idea how it is transmitted.?
Did you know that straight people spread it as easily.
Ever heard of the female period?
So all the African males that suffer from it got it from gay sex?
You are a very ignorant idiot.
Go look up who the first person was who died from Aids.
And I will not write it here:then violation notices will fly all over the place. Can do without them.
But first get your facts straight will you???

If u are over 15: I don't think that you are smart enough to understand where AIDS came from. However I saw a documentary that has a theory. I would explain it to u but I doubt you'll be able to comprehend. U need new friends.

Nope, nothing like that.
As Far as the History goes it is believed that HIV did originate in Africa being found in monkeys and was transferred to humans by either blood (from the monkey) or a bite to a hunter which introduced the virus to the bloodstream. As Far as has been determined, HIV has been present in Africa 10 years or more before "patient zero" contracted it.
There are upward of 20 Million people in Africa with AIDS that are neither homosexual nor IV drug users, so your "friend's" information is not only wrong, it's potentially dangerous.
Women can and do transfer the virus to a man and it does not take an open wound to do it(it has even been shown that uncircumcised men can catch it easier because the area under the foreskin is a good place for the virus to incubate). The virus can be transmitted through the mucous membranes on the body meaning getting infected bodily fluids in the eyes, nose, mouth, urethra, or anus does carry a risk of infection.

It isn't a "gay" disease, if suddenly there were no more gay people, AIDS would both still exist and proliferate.

HOKAY...That was from My memory of reading(so some of the details may have been expanded upon from the original information I have read), there are other resources which are far better suited to answer those questions...

Where Did AIDS Come From?
Most "new" diseases, whether Legionnaires' disease, the Black Death, or AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome), are probably just "unfamiliar" rather than new. There is always the possibility that the diseases existed, perhaps changing and conforming unnoticed until they become too much for the body to fight off - at which time, they come into prominence and are called a "new" disease. AIDS will probably never be traced to its immediate source, but scientists now know that the disease is native to the central African nations of Zaire, Burundi, Ugandi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya, and that there is a species of monkey that abounds in that region, called the African "green", which carries a virus very similar in structure to that of the AIDS virus and in the very blood cells that AIDS prefers. These monkeys do not react to the disease as humans and other primates do, probably because they have developed a built-in protection against it. Because of this, they may have been carrying the virus long before it became known to humans. The natives often sell the monkeys and sometimes eat their flesh. It is very probable that bites and scratches from the monkeys started the infection in man. As the natives were forced from their independent tribes into the cities, the monkeys migrated with them, eating from garbage heaps and infecting other men by biting and scratching when they tried to chase them away. AIDS was first diagnosed a decade or two (perhaps even as far back as the 1960's) before it was detected in the United States. Various AIDS-like symptoms were found in some western-Africans who came to Europe. It has been theorized that the AIDS virus may have come to America through Haiti, because thousands of people took part in a cultural exchange between French-speaking Zaire and the Caribbean Islands. It may then have been transmitted through homosexual males or IV drug abusers into New York, and then spread rapidly across the U.S., infecting homosexual and drug abusing communities, where the spread of infection has an ideal climate, especially for this type of virus. Bisexual males have since transmitted the virus to their spouses and sexual partners and then women to their unborn children. It is known that homosexual males and IV drug abusers have the highest statistical spread of the virus, although the percentages are rising in other categories because of bisexual activities and infected prostitutes. It is very clear that monogamous relationships and safe sex practices would help in curtailing the disease.

That's quite a story. How much of it do you really believe, and how much did you just make up?

The story is that HIV was a virus in monkeys that mutated some time ago (long before the 60's) so that it could also infect people. It spread throughout the population in Africa (almost exclusively heterosexuals), then through Haiti, and then everywhere on earth, not just the US.

You can have tiny tears in the skin from anal or vaginal sex or in the gums just from eating potato chips, so there's nothing special about being gay that makes oral and anal sex more open to AIDS than for straight couples. And needle sharing isn't something that only gay druggies do.

Guess again.

Your friend is only PART RIGHT.

The african Green Monkey carries the virus. It is a cross-over virus that became deadly in humans but not in the monkeys. Most likely the scenario was a hunter got it (blood) in an open cut or a bite wound from the monkey. AIDS has been around since around 1959 that we know of, at least. This is what made Bird-flu so scary last summer and the summer before, the fear that it would cross to humans and start killing. It did cross over, but it did not catch from human to human like aids did.

Magic Johnson has had over 20,000 sexual partners in his lifetime (serious), by his own admission and thus it was not because of any MAN that he got aids, but because of his own sexual lifestyle.

The Canadian flight attendant your speaking of was bisexual, NOT GAY. Therefore both women and men got it from him. Look him up on the internet under the words, "patient zero."

A woman can give it "much easier" to a man, that a man can give it to a man, simply though her vaginal fluids, which most men do not consider dirty and therefore do not wash off. At any time during sex, all it takes is rubbing one weak spot on the wall of your p*nis or accidently biting the side of your mouth and the virus (which are so small that millions can fit on the size of a pencil dot) can pass through.

It is actually dropping in gay people who KNOW the risk. There are a few "sad individuals" known as bug chasers that go out of their way to get it, but their lifespans are limited.

According to WHO, 35,000,000 people have AIDS.
28,750,000 are straight.
5,250,000 are gay.

In africa, monkeys are hunted and eaten. yes, the virus came from an infected monkey. The person skinning the monkey probably had an open cut and got infected that way. It is no where on record that anyone had sex with a monkey. The disease spreads severl ways...certainlt through gay sex, but just as often from hetero sex. Since AIDS went undiscovered for several years, lots of folks became infected through blood transfusions. Addicts sharing needles is a big factor as well.

actually, the most recent theory is that it is a mutated form of an older disease, that yes came from Africa. As time goes on, some diseases can evolve more resistant strains.

After speaking to some tribes in Africa, scientists have found stories about a disease that looked very similar to HIV/AIDS

A scientist living in Africa got this disease, and brought it home with her (i believe the first person who brought it over as a female). The first time they NOTICED that AIDS was different than pneumonia, etc, what through a random study of a doctor who's male friend and his gay lovers seemed to share the same symptoms.

i can't imagine they can trace back the original disease, but AIDS didn't come from monkeys necessary. (leading theory, because a similar disease is found in monkeys, but sceintists have no clue)

also, there are some people (mostly African) who are resistant (immune) to AIDS, which furthers the theory that it began somewhere on the continent.

It isn't a gay disease, first of all. It originated in Africa and some say it was from the Africans getting contaminated meat of diseased monkeys and some say it was because the Africans were having sex with the monkeys and then people infected with it brought it to other countries.
Either way sounds convincing to me. As for stopping it - you will have to get all the straight men to stop having sex with women, and gay men to stop having sex together. The PENIS is responsible for most of the problem. The guys put the disease into the vagina, and the next guy who had intercourse with her got a disease, and then he put it into another man's anus, or perhaps she gave it to a bisexual male. Nobody knows! Lesbians have the very lowest rate of spreading disease. The heterosexuals will get a disease long before lesbians will, and that's a fact. Even if there were no gay people, there would still have been AIDS because ANYONE having intercourse (both vaginal or anal) or gets infected body fluids can get the AIDS virus.

it originaly came from a monkey. As to how it went from there i'm not sure but we can assume somehow a man came in contact with that monkey. Now as to just being spread by gays and needles only that's not true. It is more probable that a woman will easily give aids to a guy because during intercourse a man's penis will chafe the vagina (due to friction). So yes women will easily give a guy AIDS.

it isn't genuine that all of us have a number of the HIV virus (AIDS is a ailment led to by technique of the HIV virus, not something you are able to actual have interior you). it truly is genuine that some human beings, be conscious, in effortless words some, may have the HIV virus for decades with little or no indicators. it truly is assumed that HIV originated as a monkey virus, SIV, that is very similar. It probable then mutated so it contaminated human beings actual. The transmission from monkey to human would were a effect of contact with contaminated bush meat, or a monkey bite. through the years, monkeys have develop into fantastically a lot data against SIV, so it truly is feasible interior the destiny that this may ensue with human beings.
