Only in North America do Baseball, American Football, and Basketball have the appeal that they do. The rest of the world follows soccer. There are a lot more people out side of the U.S.

Everybody knows that soccer is the #1 sport in the world overall.
It is played and worshiped everywhere on the planet except in the US and Canada.
That can't be argued. So don't let what others have to say bother you.

we americans are the only people in the world smart enough to realize how boring and stupid it is. we're pretty proud of that :)
