I've read Pirates! and i must say it is a good book. its an easy read and entertaining- it keeps you hooked. i recommend it.

"Pirates!" is a very good book. Well written and fun to read. If you like it, be sure to check out Celia Rees's "Witch Child." It's even better.

I haven't read the first one, but I have read Pirates! I thought it was a really good book. It's been over a year, so I can't remember specifics, but I know I liked the it.
