My husband and I drove from Orlando (Kissimmee area) to Tamp and it only took us an hour and a half. I don't know how it would take someone 2 1/2 hours! We were going maybe 5 miles over the speed limit, and the traffic was fine.

It should take between 2 and 2 1/2 hours. I do this drive with my family every time we go to Orlando airport and drive to our house in Tampa, it all depends on if their is traffic as well, but yeah 2 hours is the normal time.

When I drove from Orlando to Tampa (Busch Gardens) it took about an hour and a half.

Depending on where in Tampa or Orlando and time of day I'd add an extra hour.
