Depending on the situation, the difference can be semantic and they could mean the same thing, or the difference could be used to imply a different number of dimensions used for measuring:

30 square meters implies a unit of measure in 2-D, whereas
30 meters squared implies a mathematical operation resulting in 900 meters in a straight 1-D line

30 square meters is a square about 17 feet on a side, maybe a large living room. 30 meters square could mean a square 30 meters, or about 98 feet, on a side, roughly 1/6 of a football field. Of course, 30 square meters is usually written as 30 m².

No. Both represent an area which is 30 units, where the unit has two ways of writing. 1) square meters, 2) m^2 read as meters squared. Written in the second way, it shows, perhaps more clearly, that it has two dimensions in length.

Yes, they are a different form of measurement.

30 meters squared = 900 meters --> (30 ^ 2) = 900

30 meters squared = 30(m^2)

30(m^2) is in a different Shape, it's 2 dimensional(like a box, or rectangle)

30 squared meters is a linear Shape, it's just a number, like x, which can only go up the x line or down the x line(Think of it on a graph)

There sure is!
a) A 30 square metre surface could be given by a rectangle 10m long and 3m wide.
Area of this surface = 10 x 3m² = 30m²
b) The area of a 30 m squared surface would be given by A = 30 x 30 m² = 900m²

30 meters squared is 900 square meters -- a square with sides 30 meters long.

30 square meters is much smaller, a rectangle with sides 6 meters and 5 meters has 30 square meters.

square meters are the product of multiplying the two sides of a rectangle.
