It is possible, but if it's for a routine visit and not because of a problem or concern, your doc will probably make you reschedule.... we have our patients reschedule if they're on the period during a routine exam.

I would have to agree with the person that answered first, but unless your having an emergency issue that has to do with your period then I would go in. But probably call first.

no you can not have a gyno exam while you are on your period i know because i had the same question and i called my gynacologist and asked her and she said no.

yes. the dr prefers not to, so they can see everything better and detect minor bleeding that shouldn't be there but it can certainly be done

they normally sugest you reschedule, especially if it is heavy bleeding. it can a little messy and may mess up pap results.
