Try online shops. Or just wait for a few more months. They are extremely hard to get right now because of supply shortages.

I dont know where you live but I went to the local walmart the day after xmas and there were at least 6 of them (no lines etc).
Target had two of them last week and the were locked away in the case.
Did not see any at best buy or C city.
Before you go looking for them, just pick up the phone book and call the aforementions stores (if they dont have it ask when they expect to get it)
Also COSTCO (if you have one of them near you) as an excellent replacement policy on games so be sure to look and see if they have any of them for sale
(it would be worth it to pay the xtra 50 to join for this replacement policy)
If the stores in your immediate area dont have it you might consider calling around to a few stores outside of your immediate area (15-20 miles) and check there.
If you cant find them, tell your brother to wait until next month!
By mid Feb, you will TRIP over them in store isles....

Keep looking. Here in Wilmington North Carolina (a college town btw) they are getting pretty easy to find. The gamestores and Best Buy all have the 60 gig model in stock. I'd keep up the search. Buying online is a possiblity but since stock supply seems to be getting better I wouldn't pay more than suggested retail.

Actually, I bought one new and was going to try to sell it for more and never did. I never freakin opened it and when I decided to bring it back to gamestop they told me "the return period is 7 days." So now I am stuck with a PS3 i can't afford. If you want to buy it from me for like $610 e-mail me

If you prefer online, check this website for circuit city ps3s
http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/categorylist.do?catOid=-16622&Ns=accm_num_unts_sld|1&N=20012841+20016481+20016622&link=ref&c=1&cm_re=sub%20marquee-_-Get%20your%20PS3%20before%20they're%20gone!-_-Get%20your%20PS3%20before%20they're%20gone!
Where i live, best buy shops are full of ps3s. Check at best buy. Also check your local gamestop/ebgames store. they will have plenty there too.
