A person with negative attitude and self destructive tendencies could be made to view the world in a positive light and be conniving of all acts so that they become a person of the world. A worldly person, 'friend to all mankind', so to speak.


‘Reprogrammed’ as in changing the outlook a person has on life, wiping portions of memory and other known conventions, so that the person can become an average to fit into a particular society and therefore survive, content living another’s dream.

That's a hard one.
Education is one of the "programming activities", so, we already to this for "good" purpose.

The correct way to do it, I think, it's to inform your clients before you "programm" them about what they are going to be programmed. Anyway, people aren't computers and they cannot be all made to believe the things you want all the time. You have to keep them in a cage for that, as it unfortunately happends in totalitarian institutions.
Also blackmailing, intended fallacious logic, and threats or humiliation at the person level I consider immoral.

I believe that we are all having a bug to be open to manipulation. It's usually planted by our parents. People have to be trained to recognize the intention of the speaker and to be aware of intended fallacious logic and other techniques.
