I'm thinking about getting my sister this charm and a bracelet for her high school graduation this June. Would a girl her age appreciate it?

YES!!!!!!!!!! And I say definitely go with the cap because it will remind her of this special time of her life and it will also remind her of you. It's always great to be connected with someones precious memories.

I would just make sure she realizes how much "Tiffany" items are worth. If she's not familiar with the fact that the famous Tiffany blue box is an extremely exciting gift then I would say it wouldn't be appropriate to spend an enourmous amount of money on the charm when a less expensive one would serve the same purpose.
It is however an excellent and thoughtful gift. For $500 though you could also do alot of other things too. If you want to go a cheaper route, how about a framed picture of you and her that she can take with her if she goes away to college? That might be more personal.

That's so cute! That's a really nice and individualized idea. I would love that, even though I'm not a huge fan of Tiffany. But most girls, I think, would like that, definitely.

that is cute.. but dont get her a cap...get her a charm of something that she likes.. cause if its a cap in a year she wont be wearing it... if you get her a charm of something that she likes... she will wear it for a long time.. just my opinion
