Nope,as long as you keep the cable under 100metres long then it will not make any differce to the speed.

No, there will be absolutely no difference what so ever. The only length restriction on Ethernet is that it may not exceed 100 metres.
Changing the cable type won't make any difference either. Network speed is based on the network interfaces on the hosts and any switches between them. Cat 5e cable supports gigibit Ethernet as does Cat 6. If your gear is all 100 Mbit, the cable type won't have any affect on speed as long as the cabling is Cat 5 or better.

nope, the only way to increase data traffic is upgrade the cable to cat6 or gigbyte cables. since the cable u have is proberly 10mb/100mb, since cat6 works at 1gb
but that might require a change of network cards, router etc to support this speed.
but if u want to leave the cable the same, u could upgrade the cable to gold plated ends, this is not much more than a standard cable. and will be able to get a few more kpbs in data transmit

marginally, the speed actually is them same, it will appear to run a bit faster due to fewer dropped packets. so it should feel a LITTLE bit faster. You probably won't notice.
