Go to the record store within the next 2 days, ask the clerk for a copy of the song "The Guitar Good" by Clueless, and play it!

Lock yourself in you re room and never put you re guitar down, practice all the basics, like chords, and notes, and then move on to scales, and don't forget technique. check out guitarnoise.com there's lots of free, easy to understand lessons for beginners, it's gonna take more than three days to get good at guitar, follow these steps and you might be good in three years.

3 days? no way. it takes at least 6 months to develop skill on a guitar.

Three days is a tough order, If I were you I would pick one song that you like (and sounds easy to play) like Credence Clearwater or jimmy buffet or something like that. Then look online harmonycentral or something like that. Then play that one song like 100 times. You can play that one song at the right time and then pass off like you are reasonably decent.
