Being a mother at 15 is very DIFFICULT...for the mother, the baby, the other family members. The mother does not have the means to support herself and the baby financially so must depend on family. She is also still a child herself (not fully emotionally mature), which makes dealing with the responsibility very difficult. Many teenage mothers decide after a few months that they wish they could just be teenagers again. Most of the time the father of the baby does not stay involved in the child's life? Nothing about this situation is what is BEST for a newborn, or BEST for a teenager. Most teenaqge moms would certainly not RECOMMEND this pathway to others...they know all the problems it brings.

It's not a bad thing at all, but it's a very hard thing to accomplish. At 15 you should worry about school and not a family. I was a teen mother, and it wasa struggle for me, and I was 19. I basically had to give my life up! I didn't graduate school, just got my GED in 2005, and worked a crappy minimum wage job that barely put food in our mouths and paid for the necessities! I now am 25 with a 4 and 5 year old. I have went back to school to get my education to give them a better life, but it's a struggle trying to go to school plus work to support us. My BEST ADVICE!!!! WAIT until you are stable and havea good career! But if you are a 15 year old mother than continue your education and try to get a job to support yourselves! It's hard, but NEVER GIVE UP!

Yes it is bad...you are still a child yourself...not ready for the responsibility of raising a child. It is very unfair to the baby to be put into that position. You, at 15, are not ready to be a mother.

Yes, because at that age, the last thing you should be doing is having sex. I believe that giving birth is the better option, because I don't believe in abortion. But I think it's really sad that kids are having sex at younger and younger ages now. And then they are faced with the adult decisions of raising children.

At 15 your still a child. You shouldn't have to have that responsibility of raising a child at that age.

My suggestion don't listen to the message that society is saying that sex is cool, as long as it's safe sex. The ONLY safe sex out there is abstinance. Don't have sex till your married.

People of this age are emotional. A well wisher will never advise a baby of 15 years to become mother. To become a mother is great responsibility and need sacrifice. This is age for educating , self improvement and enjoyment.

definitely. raising kids at age 20+ is already difficult...what more for a 15 yr old teen??

life may seem easy for kids who are still studying...but when you get out to the real world, whooowww....

you will need to grow up and mature fast!!! you're luck if you're parents will support you.. My cousin sure was...she's only 18 and she already has a 5 mo old boy. Things are really complicated..

besides at age 15, you should still be enjoying your life as a teen and not worry about adult things
**note: "you" - it doesnt mean you specifically..generally to peeps who have kids at age 15.

Yes, I would agree that its bad and difficult. One should enjoy being a teenager and all that goes with it. There is so much to look forward to in life and having a child is one of them. However, it would be best to wait until later in life.

yes it is. i was a mother @ 16 & I have a lifetime of regrets. you will miss out on the best time of your life because you have to stay home & feed & change diapers (basically be an adult) while all of your friends are out having a great time, enjoying their youth.

It's a child getting a child. Can one child be a mother to another child? That is the question...

Sure it is. your life hasn't even begun yet and you're bringing in another life that will take up all of your money, time, and energy.

figure out who the heck you are first before even thinking about having a baby.
