No, I have no personal experiences that I witnessed myself. A friend of mine, though, lives by an old and abandoned apartment complex. A guy commited suicide in the left side of the building by burning himself. With his own life, he took half of the apartment complex with him, and a few other renters with him. I believe 3 adult women and one of the women was pregnant. The owners didn't have the money to tear down the complex and still haven't torn it down. Therefore, it still stands. My friend says that she sees people in the window at night, but I have yet to experience it myself. Since there are no patrons in the house, she claims there are ghosts there. She sends in letters to the state all the time in an attempt to tear it down. So far she has no luck.

No. People don't abandon houses because of ghosts.
House are usually abandoned because someone still owns them but doesn't live in them and doesn't sell them.

My town is filled w/abandoned houses. It looks dirty. Talk about the ghetto!! They just need to take them down. Where I live, it's been an attraction for meth drug dealers.
