I work in a Bank and we only use this term when the Card Prefix (First 4 digits) do not match with the company who uses that card Prefix.

Foe example, you claim to have a Happy Bank swith card that starts with the digits 9898 but all Happy Bank switch cards start with the digits 2255. Your card number would not match your card issuer.

You need to contact your bank in order to resolve this problem.

They can contact their card decline line who will be able to tell exactly why the card has been refused.

Are you sure you typed in the right number?? If so then contact the bank, as it is likely there is a fault with the card!!

You didn't tell us what kind of card so it is tough to answer. If it is a business card you just had printed go back and tell the printer it has an error and he should redo it. If it is a credit card or debit card call the issuer and tell them they need to send a new one and you will cut up this one. So you see you need to be more specific.

Contact the Bank and they will confirm your Pin, If its still wrong then the card is faulty and get them to issue you a new one..
