Shyness is a blessing. You may not think so at the time but you are seperated from the herd. This is to your advantage. You do not have to wear any masks that many people wear to belong. These disguises are transparent as you know..you do have eyes?? You don't gotta fit in...going your own way is good for you and interests others..YOU have to remember YOU are cool and the so-called others are really DICKHEADS..if so..DO YOUR THING..Don't try and Suck..BE YOURSELF..you will see eventually and laugh your silly *** off.BE YOURSELF!!DIG IT!

I have always been shy and have gotten better at talking to people over the years. I still sometimes have those shy thoughts, but I just try to put them out of my mind. Try simply pretending that you are not as shy as you really are. For example, look people in the eye and don't mumble, use confident body language. I do this all the time and when I tell people later on (when I know them well) that I am shy, they say they had no idea! Then after a while it becomes easier.

Also, practice going up and starting small conversations with people. It can be really simple, like "hi, how are you. I really like your shoes" you can practice this with strangers, people that don't make you that nervous (meaning, not someone you have a crush on, etc.)

Good luck :)

Many people value shy people. As you contemplate things, remember that people will judge you by the few things that you do say. If they are prudent and responsible things, you will be regarded highly. You don't need to get rid of shyness. Just learn to use it.

Try taking a course in Public Speaking. When you can get up and talk in front of the class, you will relieve some of the shyness.
