Sadly, the answer is not quite as easy without more details. Therefore, I will try to cover the main reasonings:

- The CDs have been burned yourself onto CD-RW discs, and these are unreadable in your DAB player.

- The CDs have been burned yourself onto a CD-R or CD-RW which has not yet been closed (session finalised) and as such unreadable by some equipment.

- The CDs have copy-protection and have been copied.

- The disc is a data disc, and contains no audio tracks, but can be played still by other equipment in your house.

- Your DAB's CD player part is faulty. Lasers and dirt don't mix well, or the electronics might be malfunctioning.

Hope some of that helps.
