In my past job I wear 1" or 2" closed toe shoes, but now I move to another job where all girls wear higher heels, they wear 3 1/2" or even 4.25" high heel sandals or sling backs... My shoes look like "grand mother shoes" when compared to them... What should I do?
I can easily wear 4" heels... Should I drop my "flats" and get some nice heel sandals?

Wear what makes you comfortable. Forget everyone else. I do think they are appropriate though.

I would continue to wear the shorter heels they are more sensible to work in..
flats are good shoe to wear in an office or on the street. If you would like to wear something else watch the others for awhile as they struggle all day long and see who really is ready to go on. Look at places like Ross for cute yet sensible shoes to wear
I would not worry about what others are wearing as long as you are comfortable in yourself.

If you can be reasonably comfortable in them, then indulge. But let me give you a tip: Don't do it if you are not comfortable wearing them, because that looks worse (the awkward gait, the bulging of the foot where it swells in a too-tight pump) than wearing lower heels and accepting an "old lady" image.

do what you want. if you're more comfortable in 1 or 2 inch heels (as i am) you can definately find some hot ones. my fav sandals with heels are kenneth cole reaction. the foot bed is curved and they're super comfortable.

well normally i feel more confident in heels...and wearing heels to office i think that looks more presentable.. flatties are more like...casual..but it's cool to have some cute office shoes not high ones which are only 1 to 2 inches hi...like nipple heels..they're so cute absolutely adorable....anyway..heels too high for office are a lil exaggerating

The important thing is to be comfortable. If, like me, you are comfortable wearing such heels, then do it.

These days, you are less likely to find work environments where everyone wears high heels.

If you enjoy wearing them, then why not? :) It's not like you're wearing a bikini to work.
