There are quite a few free spectacles in Las Vegas

The Foutains of Bellagio - 3pm-Midnight Mon-Fri , Noon-Midnight Sat-Sun > shows on the half hour until 7pm, after 7 the shows are every 15min

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace - Atlantis and Festival fountains - shows from 10am until close, every hour on the hour

Rio - Carnival in the Sky - Times vary by season

Animal Habitat at the Flamingo - open 24 hours

Lion Habitat - MGM - 11am-10pm - This one is better than the White Tigers at the Mirage>The MGM has handlers in with the Lions to keep them active and you can have a photo taken with a Lion Cub.

Sirens of TI - Treasure Island 5:30-7-8:30-10pm

Volcano - Mirage - 7pm-Midnight every 15min

White Tigers - Mirage 24 hours

Fremont Street Experience - 6pm-Midnight on the hour

Sunset Stampede - Sam's Town shows 2-6-8-10pm >this show is much better after dark, (lasers)

A couple of hotels have very nice aquariums - Caesars Palace in the Forum Shops by the Atlantis Fountain and At the Mirage check in desk...

Several Hotels have street performers - The best are at the Venetian and Aladdin, both are located in their shopping areas. The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and Desert Passage at Aladdin. Excalibur has street performers also, on a stage on the second level, this show is geared towards the kids.

The Auto Collection at Imperial Palace usually can be seen for free > they hand out free passes

The best afternoon show in LV can be seen for free - Mac King at Harrah's - if you're not a "Total Rewards" Harrah's slot club member , they will give you two tickets to the MK show for a first time sign up...Or, at the booth in the Carnaval court ask and they will give you a 2-4-1 coupon.

One of the best, and one not well known is the free tours of the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Botanical Cactus Gardens - 8:30am-7pm

A few of the mega resorts on the strip are a sight to behold unto themselves, they are are well worth a visit. Take a walk around and check out the art and architecture. It's amazing what they can build for a few billion dollars..My favorites, in order.
Venetian
Caesars Palace
Luxor
Bellagio
Wynn

Downtown LV has a couple of great spots to visit
Main Street Station has an incredible collection of Antiques and Artifacts - A section of the Berlin wall>bullet holes included - several rail cars from the glory day of rail travel. The Bronze doors and Facade from the Royal Bank of Kuwait. The Fireplace from Preswick Castle. Fluted Columns from Windsor Barracks. Chandeliers from all over the world. The bar at MSS comes from Nice France "The Wild Boar". there are a lot more located all around the hotel/casino/buffet.

The sports colletcion at Vegas Club - Mainly baseball and football memorabilia.

The collection of Gold Nuggets - at, you guessed it, The Golden Nugget

Bellagio fountains, and they used to have a show outdoors at TI (Treasure Island). They still might.

The Fremont Street Experience is in downtown Las Vegas (not actually the Strip), but you can take a cab and go down there.

Hi, Michael. There are tons of free shows and activites in Vegas.

--Carnivale Sky Show at the Rio
--Volcano at the Mirage
--Fountains at the Bellagio
--3D Movie at M&M World
--Pirate show at Treasure Island.

The best entertainment is really the people you see walking around. You can see anything from Elvis to Vince Neil to a Hanson brother walking around.

Yes treasure island offers FANTASTIC pirates show every night. On freemount Street [just 2 miles away] they have a light show on the ceiling and it's beautiful! and also the fountain show that matches up to music at the belagio. :]
