i'm sure that you would be very hospitabitale to someone who would teach you english, but i think that the internet is the last place that you should be advertising for hospitality and staying with somone to teach you english. you may not know it sweety, but we live in a very cruel, mean, mean world. just because you have these intentions dont mean that someone else will. If you still decide to go, i hope that you be very careful, and thourough in your selction of who you are going to allow to stay with you and who you are going to stay with abroad. are you aware of the world wide slave trade? on every continent, people are being lured away from their homes, and countries on false promises. all im saying is that fools rush in. P.S. are there not any english classes or tapes that you can listen to, or any english as a second language classes that you can take in italy?? if not, i assume that you have access to a PC, study online. what do your parents have to say about this?/

I'm from Brindisi and now in the US. I learned English from watching TV basically. When i was back in Italy a few years ago, all my nieces and nephews had to take English classes...They don't offer them in Venice?

If you are serious, and really 16.....
Please speak to your school/parents and arrange something like this appropriately. There must be organised programs for this. Placing an ad here is not wise, nor safe.
Some pervs are checking their passports now.

Haha, I'd completely go for it...I take italian in school, (5 years now, but though I can understand/read it somewhat decently, I'm not comfortable speaking) and I'm 16 too. But my parents would never, ever agree.
(And besides, I live in the US, not England)
I am going to visit your wonderful country for the first time in February, though!
