Which is a better company AEM, Fujita, or Injen? Also, I know a cold air intake is more difficult to install, but is it worth it? Or is the short ram intake better? I live in southern california, so it doesn't rain much here.

In theory, for increase horsepower, your car needs to take in as much cold air as possible. The cold air intake should have most gains over the short ram and stock air box, but it is more susceptible to sucking in water during wet driving condition. The short ram intake allow more air in the engine, but it will be taking in more hot air.

Do not believe anyone who tells you that an intake alone will increase horsepower. If you look at the stats on cars being tested on a dyno with just an intake upgrade, some (not all) have actually lose horsepower. Unless you plan on doing more than the Intake/exhaust, you might not have any gains.

I have an 07 Civic Si as well, and I am sticking with the stock intake and exhaust because I do not think it will make a big difference in performance.

By the way, do you have any problem with your Si in cold starts? I know that mine is very sluggish and not very smooth in the mornings.

ok,
with all of thoes ur gonna get a 3 hp gain....
it doenst matter whats on the box,. ur not gonna fell the gain... u might hear the intake but nothing esle.... with out tuning that intake is gonna do you nothing.......

and get the cold air, the short ram just sucks up the hot air from the engine bay.... dont for get an AEM air bypass valve

orr

u could get a K&N filter and cut out the sides of the bottom of ur airbox and that would work the same.....

just about all intakes are pretty good the ones you named are great just pick one you like the looks of. I would use a cold air instead of the short ram it provides more power. If you use the cold air either WATCH OUT!!! for puddles or get a "by pass valve" I'm serious if you drive through a puddle and water gets sucked into your engine permanent serious damage will result.

AEM is a better prevalent commercialized kind and are customary for his or her performance. besides the actual incontrovertible fact that Injen is an recommendations-blowing kind, AEM might want to probable be better nicely surely worth the money and grant not much better, yet a touch better skill than injen. AEM is a beast

go for the cold air. i live in oregon. if it weren't for the rain i'd have a cold air. i really don't think manufacturers are that much different. it's jus metal tubing with a filter on the end.
