Yes everyone in my house takes their shoes off at the door. I have a rule in my house that no shoes are allowed in the house. We have white carpeting and wood floors so shoes have always been a no-no. When people come over that visit often they just add their shoes to the pile and come on in. For first time visitors some need to be gently told others will ask when they see everyone walking around in their socks. Nobody seems to mind taking off their shoes. I have actually had a lot of people comment on how clean the house is and comfortable they are walking around without shoes on. My daughter had a birthday party and some parents came to pick up their kids they wanted to visit for a bit. They saw their kids shoes at the door and asked if it was a no shoes house. I said yes all the time and they kicked off their shoes and said "oh good because i hate shoes in my house too." I have a group that comes over often and we all have shoes off homes now because everyone likes it so much.

Most of the time unless I have a bunch of groceries then I take them off after I put them away, or if I'm carrying my daughter in, I take them off after I get her out of the car seat and get her started playing with something.

Ususally not right when I get into the house. I ususally take them off the first place I sit down which is often in the kitchen or right here at my computer!

i do if I'm going into a house with nice clean carpet...but other than that if I'm not asked to take my shoes off I won't

when i'm home to stay yes, but if i'm working on something out side and i'm in and out alot, i just wipe them well before i get to the carpet. i wear cowboy boots primarially anyway so its not a real hardship to take them off.

no...if I'm in the house..my shoes are off...but I dont take them on & off each time I'm going in & out of the house...
