I hired a grant writer who keeps promising me things but has produced nothing. It has been OVER 6 months and I need to hire someone who I can trust and count on. The reality is I did my due dligence in finding this person - BBB, recommendations, talked with her several times, etc. Now what do I do and where do I look? Any names or suggestions?

This is for an educational grant - to place a study and materials into public school - a study of culture and social skills. Not a start up. Thanks.

I do hope it was not to write a grant for a business start up. No grants will ever be given for small business start ups. If it was for that purpose, please contact me, I can lead you another viable source for capital for a business startup. If it was not, and if it was for a non profit organization or arts grant. It is very easy to write a grant. Just answer the grants questions in great detail from the grant RFP or application. The voila' you have a grant proposal. Most successful grant writers are very expensive. Many many years ago when I was a grant writer my fees were very substantial. Very few successful grant writers will allow themselves to be paid when you get the grant or with a percentage of the grant when received. My advice is to write the grant yourself or take a workshop from the Foundation Center. They are the premier authority on grants and foundations. Good Luck!
