My son keeps signing up for My Space, and I can't find out if there is a fee involved with it or not. I know my internet bill went up quite a bit this month, but I can't tell if it's because of that. I have tried to delete My Space several times, but he keeps bringing it back up and somehow authorizing, without my permission, to be a member. Is there any way I can delete it for good so he can't get to it. He is not an authorized signer on my account. How do I keep him off permanently? Help.

It is not a paid service, and people can create as many accounts as they like, which is why your son may be getting back on it.

If you check here, this is what myspace itself says about the situation- http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=misc.faq&Category=7&Question=38

Since that doesn't help much, your best bet may be to talk to your son about why you don't want him using myspace. That, or you can just add the site to a blocklist on your internet provider so he cannot access the site at all on his computer.

MySpace is a completely free service, and your son should be safe using it. If you're concerned, it might help for him not to provide completely accurate personal information. However, if you still want to stop him from using it, you should check out putting parental controls on your browser and restricting access to certain sites... searching in the Help section of your browser will probably give you more info on that.

myspace.com is free... I suggest contacting myspace to find out the details of how it works... If you have, if he has an email that's how he get on it.. and of course some email is free... as for him not being an authorized signer on your account..What account are you speaking of? to login to your computer? Change your passwords.. Do you have something on your computer where you can block certain websites? Also there is parental control,,etc..

How old is your son? What is the problem of him getting on myspace? maybe if you get on their with him you would find that myspace isn't the big huge monster that the media makes it out to be. There is no charge for it, and lots of free addons from places like pimp my space. Try and be Little more open minded with your child, because the more you try and lock him down the more he will fight you for his freedoms.

I don't think you have to pay a fee to subscribe my space.com. what you should do is you have to be 14 or older to sign in. when you sign in the my space toolbar will be downloaded to the desktop.

MySpace is free of charge. You can't delete it for good. He'll just make a new one. Try to find out how to restrict certain sites. It differs with your type of browser.

No fees for myspace.com. check into some sort of "cyber-sitter" to restrict the types of sites he is able to visit.

You should delete the Internet totally. That should teach him a lesson.
