I agree with one of the other answers about those breathe right strips. Helped my husband a ton but please becareful that you dont have a more serious health issue. Snoring can often times be happening for different reasons. My husband has had his nose broken a ton in martial arts classes so he has a diviated septum and he cant breathe out of one side of his nose. Some people have sleep apnea and actually stop breathing at times in the night. Or maybe you just have huge tonsils and adnoids. If it is just regular snoring you will be good to go with those strips. It helps me, as the wife of a snorer, to go to bed first so that i have a chance to get into a deep REM sleep before he comes to bed. And on occasion when we both need sleep i take some tylenol pm to help me stay asleep. . . but then my snoring bugs him!!!

If your snoring is really loud and disruptive, chances are good that you have a condition called sleep apnea, which MUST be taken seriously. Untreated sleep apnea not only stresses both the snorer and everyone else in the house who can't get a good night's sleep, it can also lead to heart malfunction and death!
Apnea is easily treated with the use of a night-breathing aid called a CPAP. You must see a sleep doctor before you can get one, as they have to be individually adjusted, but most insurance covers the cost. CPAP eliminates snoring 100% and keeps your heart from being damaged. Surgery is very rarely used to treat apnea, as the success rate is not that good. For most of us, those strips are all but useless.
Please ask your doctor to refer you to a sleep doctor or sleep clinic ASAP. These facilities often have a long waiting list, and procrastinating can really damage your health.

There are liquids and sprays now sold in stores that coat the throat to prevent snoring. She could also use those soft ear plugs.
BTW , snoring could also be a sign of sleep apnia. Next time you sees your doctor, you should tell him about it.

Order one of these: http://www.britishsnoring.co.uk/shop/mouth_breathing_devices/somni_snoreguard.php?PHPSESSID=7423b9d9c45b41f35308e1e83644f8e8
Watch the video. It will take a couple of weeks to get used to it. It will aggravate you, fall out of your mouth, etc. After that, it will stay in and feel comfortable to wear.
