ahhh the 90's, we had such great disney films like Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and The Beast, etc. But since around 2004ish animated films have gotten way bad! I mean the disney movies are crap with their 20 direct-to-video films and everything is made with computer animation. I admit Dreanworks have had a few good films lately but I mean Happily N'ver After? The Ant Bully? It's just getting so stupid! Please answer if you agree or if you have another opinion I'd love to hear it!

Your right. Actully i'm into animation myself and you just can't beat a good hand-drawn animation. Have you ever watched any of Winsor Mccay's work? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7470036266931559205&q=Gertie+the+Dinosaur+clip
That's one of his oldest it's a beauty watch it!

Disney announced last month that it would no longer make computer animated movies. It would leave those up to Pixar and Disney is going back to 'old fashioned animation'. So now there is HOPE that they'll start making great animated movies again, such as Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast. :-)

Corporate greed and fear.

They want a sure=shot, big bankable stars, cheap computer animation that has crowed out or outmoded some of the biggest creators in the field.

The Princess and the Frog grow to be no longer cgi. yet yeah, videos like the Lion King, Tarzan, attractiveness and the Beast, and so on were a lot more suitable constructive reason they fairly and actually exceeded off.

You're right - some of the new animated films are just awful, especially the direct-to-video. The animation in those is definitely not up to par.
On the bright side, there's 'Shrek', 'Ice Age' and 'The Incredibles'. And thanks to DVD, we can always go back to our old favourites.

The good movies died off with the people that knew how to write scripts and do REAL animation.
