I already have a Game Cube. I don't like hardly any games for it. I've always been a Nintendo buyer, but should I try the PS2? I don't want a PS3 because they are too expensive. Does Play Station have any good games and should I get one?

I got a PS2 and have had it for about 3 years... I HARDLY EVER played and and recently got me a Super Nintendo!!! YES I SAID SUPER NINTENDO!!! And play it quite often!!!

Playstation has a TON of good games, really too many to list.
As for buying a PS2, at first I was going to say no, but since there aren't a lot of good games out for PS3, and it won't drop in price anytime soon, a PS2 might not be a bad idea. I would recommend going to a site like ign.com and look up some games that will come out for PS3 soon. Then decide if it's worth the $500-$600, or not.
In response to the first answer, there is NO way it will be as cheap as a PS2 in a few months, considering the 360's been out for over a year and it has had no price drops.

You shouldn't try PS2 because it's getting old now .Now it's time to jump in to the PS3.If you cannot do this u can jump into the newly arriving NINTENDO Wii and because u are a nintendo fan ,it's good to jump in to Nintendo Wii
Play Station have good games.But i want to tell u that many games are usually same wheather u play it on ps2 , xbox or
in game cube . If u want try ps2 then fine try it and check it on !

Whoever said that in a few months, the PS3 is going to cost the same as a PS2 is wrong. That's almost a 400 or 500 price drop in a few months. I don't think so. PS2 is selling for 129.99 and PS3 is selling for 499.99/599.99 (20gb/60gb).
If you find some games that you really like, then go ahead and buy the PS2. It's only 129.99, and it has a lot of good games. The PS2 is still outselling the next gen systems and probably will continue to do so for this year.

lol ps2 have all the good teen games like battlefront 2 and ghost recon,well you know all the good shooter games really any teens should get a ps2 over a gamecube since gamecube really mostly only has little 8 year old games,also ps2 has almost all of the games nintendo doesnt make and more,like they dont have kirby airride but they really have dousins of games almost the same like jak and daxter 3 or anything like that

The PS2 is a great console and yes their are plenty of good games on the PS2. The PS2 also has the largest selection of RPG games for it. You can also try the new Wii console.

sell ur game cube and games for it, and with the money that u have that u sold ur game cube with buy a ps2. ps2 cost around 100-200 dollars in stores, ps3 cost idk but expensive! wait a few months then u can get a ps3 for the same price as a ps2!

If you can get a wii, if not get a old style ps2 with network adapter and check hdadvance.com. this allows you to back up game onto a hard drive and play them. You then can rent a ps2 game and back it up, result many games for cheap.

wait a few months and you'll be able to get a PS3 for the same price as a ps2......
trust me the ps3 is really great!! my boyfriend has it and I love it.
it has internet (if you get the cable for it) and high definition, online games and some pretty cool games are already out for it, plus ps2 games play on it.....
