Have you noticed all these OLD gay dudes who use this YA board to validate their pathetic lives...and they actually take themselves seriously? AS IF young gays today would come here to ask serious questions and/or listen to these "probably" divorced, midwestern, blue-collar, psuedo- intellects and self proclaimed philosophers! What are they thinking? Would anyone want to listen to a bunch of losers and have them give advice? Shouldn't they all go to their local therapy groups and leave us youngsters alone? Do we care about their new -found romatic LTR's with other pathetic oldies? Can they teach anyone anything except maybe how to bake quiche or shop? Gawd...can we have our own YGA (young, gay answer) board and rid ourselves of these aged creatures?

No I don’t believe their lives are pathetic, and yes I feel that they do take themselves seriously. I do find it interesting that you feel it necessary to point out what you think is pathetic. Perhaps you should point that high-powered perception towards yourself and figure out whose life is pathetic.

Perhaps if they can impart some knowledge learned from experience to the gay youth and help them from making the same errors as they did.

First of all, many gay youth would love to get to know older people of the GLBT community, especially when they live in Bible Belts where all they hear is hate 24/7. Older gays know what it's like to lose your job or be evicted of their apartments. They know what it's like to have eggs thrown down on them during Dyke parties on boats. They know what it it like to see half their friends die from a horrible disease that the government doesn't give a rat's behind about. So yes, they can teach us a lot, whether we are gay, lesbian, bisexual, straight, black, white or blue.

Possibly so...I've also notice middle-aged, young adults, and teenagers who are just as pathetic as the next so...
Everyone learns his or her life's lesson and apply it to as best they can for themselves...there are many other venues you can choose to communicate with other young SGL people, and it doesn't take intelligence to find them: apparently (by your question) you're on the right path.
