There are many ways to look at that. The most obvious being the necessity for money since it is one of the few jobs where women tend to earn more than men. And money is a powerful influence, especially when you have college bills to pay for, a child/family to support, or other situations. What would you be more comfortable with: Being an exotic dancer, or a prostitute? At least the dancer generaly has some sort of protection built into their job. It's look, but don't touch. So to quickly judge or label women who are dancers without knowing their background of why they are doing it in the first place would be wrong.

You can make SERIOUS cheddar, if you are pretty, fit and stay off the drugs.
I knew of several women who had two houses, mortgage free, by the age of 25...and money in the bank...
A good dancer, at a good club, can clear $2-3K in a week.

i would hope because she likes too. for the same reason that i hope my doc became a doc because he wanted to help people not just for the cash. Maybe this job let's her be home more because now she has to work less to make the same money. that is like asking why do you eat or why don't eat meat? it all come down to what feels right for you.

Money after awhile. In the beginning it might be for the attention or rush, but money is the only logical answer.

greed, desperate, drug habit, kids and desperate, sexual abuse as a child and can't see where the lines are drawn in decency, forced to by husband or boyfriend, black mail, in love with their looks and their self's....it is not a pretty job, I've had a few friends that had to get over that job...it is so degrading....so very dangerous...often leads to hooking......leads to bad company .....all bad........bad stuff....I think if more people cared, lots of 'em could be talked out of it...it's also degrading to men, Lots of men would never even think of these women......
