cause they hav a good strong team at the start but somewhere over the christmas period they lose a few players, lose a few games and then they dont have the belief that they can win any games for the rest of the season

It's probably because the players on your team do not have any real desire to win for the club. Professional footballers in the premiership get paid an enormous amount of money win, lose or draw, if the system was changed to payment only for wins and draws you would probably see a huge improvement in productivity.
BTW you've just been beaten by United again.
