What are Googads?

Please help me in a description without all of the computer jargon...I'm just not that proficient in computer terminology and concepts but have friend who does this on the side, and I have no idea what she means....

They are ads or pop-ups that goggle sponsers. They are just like any regular ad but they are represented by google

they are google ads
(ads by google)
you see them on lots of websites, and the right of google searches.
