I had to go back for more surgery though. So I was just wondering while you are still bleeding after having your baby if you can get pregnant again? (No longer breast feeding either, which reduces the chances) . And I had a D&C done afterward to help clean out some of the placenta the doctor accidently left for a month so could that make it easier to get pregnatn also, since the uterus has been scraped? Ps having some of the same symptoms as when I got pregnant with my daughter.

And for the one whom said its harder to lose the postpartum baby weight, I am only 88 pounds 5 feet tall. LOL see my picture? My baby was 6 pounds 12 ounces. I want a large family but am afraid because I also had other surgery afterward. when the doctor did D&C he accidently poked a hole in my uterus & had to repair it which wouldn't work so he had to cut me open to repair it. He said I'd still be able to have more children but didn't say what the risks were or when I could have more. They almost killed me the first time and I am worried about having another especially so soon. I suppose I'll just have to find out.

Breastfeeding does NOT reduced the chances of you getting pregnant! Breastfeeding does not stop you from ovulating and starting your cycle again. Yes you could be pregnant, you are at your most fertile right after you give birth.

Absolutley possible. How many siblings do you know that are 10-11 months apart? My doctor put me on birth control at 5 weeks postpartum and I am nursing. You can still ovulate even when you are bleeding and/or breast-feeding.

You need to take a test and see your doctor.

yes. you always need to use protection when you have sex. you only breastfed for 2-3 months? why not longer? anyway, take a test. hopefully you aren't, since that is hard to take care of 2 babies under a yr old. if you are ovulating, you can get pregnant. it also makes it harder to lose the post pregnancy weight as well.

Sure its possible. You need to remember though, that the reason we get most pregnancy symptoms is because of the change in hormones during pregnancy. So when your hormone levels are going back to normal after pregnancy, some of the same symptoms are possible.

yep sure can! i have three friends and a sister that got pregnant between a few weeks, and 3 months after having their babies. usually why the docter tells you to wait until your 6wk. post partum check-up, i think 2 more weeks after a d&c, and try's to put you on birth control. that takes another week to work, so yea, when you jump th e gun and don't use anything, it happens!

Yes. My friend got pregnant a few weeks after having her baby and she was still nursing.
Also, my mom did as well.
What makes you think you are pregnant?

it's possible. call your doctor and see about taking a pregnancy test (some of the home ones can be inaccurate). or planned parenthood would gladly let you take a pregnancy test. there's no guarantee that you could be pregnant again, but anything's possible.

Anytime you have sex you can get pregnant (unless you are currently pregnant). I don't think you have an increased chance, but you should be using protection regardless.
