The problem is exactly this: the English do not have a parliament of their own, only a UK parliament which treats of English affairs along with those of the rest of the UK which have not been devolved.

I am a Scottish Nationalist of Irish Nationalist descent, and if I ever move to England I will be an English nationalist. The English are getting a raw deal right now and I sympathise with you.

Make the UK a federation with a federal parliament to which are subject four national parliaments.

Just my two eurocents worth.

The Scottish Parliament is available on the Parliament Channel - not often live, but recorded. Cannot say I have noticed anyone in there who would be called "English."

I heard Alex Salmond on the radio a couple hours ago, he says that not only should Scotland be free of England, but so too should the English be free of Scottish meddling in their affairs.

Salmond gets my vote - only problem, I'm not Scottish, do not live in Scotland and am wondering now if the English will raise even more tax and duty on Scotch Whiskey once the border posts go up?

there are no English MPs in the Scottish Parliament, there is also no power in the Scottish Parliament all it is is a hot air shop, nobody here in Scotland pays any attention to any of the so called MPs,they are an embarrassing motely crew, the line up photo of them all together at the opening of this 550 million pound talking shop looks like something from the Addams familys photo album ,you really should see them for yourself,a bunch of jumped up janitors. the English MPs have no clout at all in this PRETEND Parliament ,the sooner Westminster realise this the better for us all, close it down and turn it into the most expensive swimming pool in history ,at least that way the kids can get some benefit from it and not them prancing nobody,s.IF one day in the future they do get a little bit of power, look out for the mass exodus of Scots coming over the border (led by yours truly ,lol) .the bad thing about this whole set up that the Scottish MPs in Westminster vote on things that affect only the English electorate , but the English MPs are not ALLOWED to vote on anything that will only affect Scotland .The sooner this is sorted the better.

Remember that 40% of the UK population are multiethnic.

That's 98% if you go back a few more generations.

Everyboday, EVERYBODY from Timbuktu to Outer Mongolia has an uncle in Scotland, Wales or Ireland. And many people do not live now in the nation where they were born.

it truly is an truly good question.at the same time as Gordon Incompetent Brown replaced into in simple terms an up and coming baby-kisser he had to deliver as many on his facet as possible.the in effortless words way he ought to do this replaced into 'pull the wool over peoples eyes which includes the overdue John Smith and Denis Healey. For others to go back on facet he had to 'politically bribe' which includes providing them positions of accountability in any administration he formed in Parliament. so as that once he ultimately grew to develop into best Minister ;What occurs?it truly is pay again time!they want to p.c.. and decide their positions.

There is no such thing as the English Parliament. You're thinking of the UK Parliament, whose power extends over all the UK countries. Scotland has some power delegated to its own Parliament. Because of England's substantial position in the UK Parliament it doesn't stand to gain anything by getting its own devolved Parliament.

England doesn't have it's own government.. (it hasn't had one since 1707) - It's a United Kingdom government - so therefore Scottish people have every RIGHT to be there. :-)

There are too many Scots in the Government. They all need to be shipped up to the outer Hebrides, where they can tax the Penguins fish intake or something.
