For example, I live in a home where I have an open floor plan. I can't count the number of times my friend expressed her feeling about how she hates an open floor plan. I put in a swimming pool, (above the ground) and she said she would NEVER put in a pool. Two years later she put in a built in pool. I drive a benz, she told me her father HATES European cars and that Toyota and Honda are much better. I don't get it. I do not brag about anything I have, yet no matter what I have, she puts it down. Any advice to me?

She is obviously jealous about everything you have. She is no true friend. Get her out of your life. Just begin by ignoring her calls, eventually she'll be out of your life, and you will be a happier person. Who needs that kind of negativity, especially in a so called "friend?"

Jealousy or Hatin what I like to call it. To me Hating only counts when it's people around you. She ain't the only one hating on you to. She has to B-itch to someone that knows you, and there is the people who talk mad shiit and smile in your face.
Add in the fact that your a woman; so the Haters increase. Guys don't like thing about other guys on free time.
You asked about one and I gave you 3. Basically, just do you, as long as your not bragging make yourself happy, but never try to impress her.

Ask yourself, what kind of fiend is this to put you down every time you open your mouth . If she is doing for your good, its alright, but everytime??? Ask yourself frankly, you want someone who encourages you and gives you hope, or you prefer friends who put you down and treats you like roaches. I won;t do that to my friends, thats bad.... ask yourself what you want , actually you have the answer in your head, just that you need to comfirm it from us, go ahead and do it, im behind you .

she is envious of what you have. she probably doesnt mean to upset you. try to be flattered. speak to her about it the next time she says anything, suggest that if she has a problem perhaps she would rather not come round. sounds like you have a lovely home - and car!!
