Does it make you mad that they spend days upon days talking about the "Duke Rape Case"...OJ's Book...some celebrity’s latest adoption...and blah blah blah....

Why don't they talk about important stuff...like the implementation of a national ID card that was attached to a bill that was to allocate more money for our troops…or any of the latest and greatest crap that our government is doing?

I get so mad sometimes when I watch the news at the amount of trivial crap that they talk about. Is Angelina’s latest adoption really newsworthy?

You bet, so many words, on and on, and so little said. "Why don't they talk about important stuff."
What happened to "Investigative Reporting?" Nixon resigned, ousted, because of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.exposing one of America's worst political scandals. In doing so, they taught the country about the principles of disclosure and honesty. Now we have news of Anna Nicole, Donald and Rosie, etc.

Why is there not investigative reportage on our infrastructure, education, pork barrel, and on? So much that is truly significant goes undisclosed, or simply not investigated.

Quite frankly I become very upset when I watch even the important stuff about the war, the home front, medicare, drug planning for the elderly and so on. Most news commentators are out to get higher ratings. The higher the rating, the more advertising it brings in and the higher the salary of the moderator. It is basically all about money. Rosie and Donald....on and on and on. Who cares? Americans care and you will never see an end to this charade until people tire of it. The news channels play it for all it is worth. This is America and freedom of the press prevails.

Oh yes.Especially when It's biased. If I am already familiar with a story and the news cast only gives one side or puts an obvious biased spin on it,I want to throw the TV out a window because I know somewhere some idiot is saying "You mean Bush is responsible for that guys car having a flat tire? That Bastard!"It's all the Republicans fault!

American media is terrible. They focus on celebrity-related stories and unseen threats. Real news is seldom covered, and this is no doubt why so many Americans are unaware of what is really happening in their country and in the rest of the world.

If you want to hear informative reporting you have to listen to the CBC or the BBC.

Do I ever? It is always the bad stuff happening in Iraq or someone went nuts with a shotgun at their office. I am so sick of the news negative slant.

That's part of the brainwash... Politics and media are not independant. The former want the people to let them do their dirty business without interference.

Yes I do get upset, although my opinions differ from yours but what I get upset over is the fact that you only get one side of the story, or never the complete story.
