There are many ways, I have listed a few sites to check out below.
Set up time for Prayer, Meditation, exercise, etc..
Put relaxing music on that will stimulate and sooth the nerves.
Use relaxing candles or scents in a room for employees.
Do not allow smoking or colognes that will irritate those with allergies.
Start and end each day with a group session where there is Prayer, meditation, soothing music and any other ideas you find.
Yes I repeated what I've said, because it works.
Have sun light comming in or a other way for employees get natural light.
There is so many ways...
do not forget to have air purerifiers, anti bacterial soaps and cleaning products.
A great health plan and other needed benifits, such as sick days, etc..

First you need to make sure those who are ill stay home. So they do not spread anything such as the flu, colds etc.
Second - come up with a quarterly reward program for employee of the quarter, with criteria that includes attendance, among other things. have a vote and reward the employee, making sure everyone knows. We do a "get out of work free card" good for one year- lets the employee have one day off a year in addition to vacation time. This program has decreased our sick time tremendously, and increased morale.

Give them forty hours a year on a rotating system that when a day is a year old it comes off. If they go over forty they get wrote up,if they get wrote up twice in a year they get 3 days off,if they go over 50 they get 3 days off,if they go over 60 they are dismissed. You have to follow the fed. laws on employee medical leave that's where if they have an document from the Dr. saying he was to sick to work or a family medical leave where he has a document from the dr. saying you were needed by a immeate family member. Just have some commpastion on some cases

Well Andrew Carnegie [world's richest person during the industrial revolution] worked out how to get more from his men. He cut their hours from 12 a day to 10 and gave them 20 mins break every 2 hours. All hats off to the dude, his men gave him 25% more output and they had themselves and extra 2 hours to be with their loved ones.
I'm like so full of admiration.... Anyhows yea, he the dude.
On top of that, give them incentives, like some kind of extra pay for sales completed.

A company I worked for made no distinction between sick days and vacation days as they were pooled together. If you used them up then you didn't get paid for being out. People quickly learned to be discriminant about what justified being truly sick. One drawback is that you will get a lot of sick people coming to work and spreading their sicknesses.

Dangle a carrot in front of them....incentives. Phases like I eralise you sick but your attendance is taken into concideration at raise time/or promotions. You get the idea.

Treat your employees like human beings that you care about. When employees are treated with respect and kindness I think they perform better and they have more respect for you.
